The Correct Hearing team

You’re in safe hands when you trust us with your hearing care

SARAH VOKES

Director and Audiologist

When I was teenager I had meningitis, which left me with a one-sided hearing loss, so I fully understand the complexities arising from hearing issues. This was also the main reason I became an audiologist – to help other people. I studied at Nottingham School of Audiology and worked in the NHS and for a large national company before setting up Correct Hearing in 2009. I wanted to create a more relaxed and bespoke service.

Alongside the business I have a very busy home life! I am married to Ian (my fellow Correct Hearing director) with five boys – two of whom which we foster. When not working, most of my time is taken up with music as the children are involved with various orchestras.

NAMRA OSMAN

Audiologist

Hi, I’m Namra. I’m a qualified and registered Audiologist, Hearing Aid Dispenser with HCPC. I have a BSc Audiology degree from De Montfort University. After training in the NHS, I worked for a corporate national company.

I’ve been working at Correct Hearing for two wonderful years now. At Correct Hearing I love to be able to make patients feel relaxed and at ease where some may feel a little nervous. One thing I love about audiology is the change in technology that keeps improving year after year. I enjoy counselling and getting to know my patients.

That being said, what I enjoy the most in my job is my patient’s reaction when I first fit them with hearing aids. Their reaction to how effortless their hearing becomes is quite amazing to
watch and very rewarding for me.

I’m also a qualified Tinnitus Counsellor and an approved CLEARWAX ear wax removal specialist. I can perform ear wax removal with water irrigation, microsuction and the latest technique of endoscopic microsuction.

When I’m not working, I enjoy cycling, swimming and going for long walks. I also love cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family, which is a real blessing.

IAN VOKES

Director and Hearing Care Assistant

I fully understand the complexities arising from hearing issues as I wear hearing aids – I have to say they have been life changing! My young son Freddie also has hearing loss and wears his hearing aids with pride!

I work alongside my wife and two older boys Adam and Maxwell Vokes to create a family friendly and bespoke service that is personal for every person that walks through our door.

Alongside the business I have a very busy home life. I am married to Sarah (my fellow hearing director) with 5 boys – two at whom we fostered. When we’re not working, most of our time is taken up with music as the children are involved in many different musical ventures!

ADAM VOKES

Audiologist

I’m a fully qualified Audiologist and passed my dispensing degree with flying colours at De Montfort University. I’ve worked at Correct Hearing for a few years now and previously worked for a hearing charitable organisation. The best thing about working at Correct is being able to help people, it is a very fulfilling role. I really enjoy socialising with my friends and family and I’m a bit of a car fanatic.
